David Dobson was first exposed to the rich visual tapestry of the Third World while growing up in Colombo, Sri Lanka, Calcutta, India, and Cairo, Egypt, the son of Missionaries. The childhood adventures of wondering through ancient gold markets, temples, and palaces created a desire to capture his adventures in over 130 countries on film. While traveling around the world on assignment, Dobson is based in Nashville, Tennessee. His work has been published internationally in fashion and music magazines as well as in two coffee table books. The first, Precious in His Sight, a collection of images of children from across the third world, focuses on childcare projects for underprivileged children, a cause close to his heart. Sri Lanka Tsunami, a project that focuses on the continued efforts of Mission of Mercy to provide educational assistance to children faced with the devastation of the great Tsunami of 2004.
